Revison!
OCR Computing AS and A Level Discussion Board: Student Discussion: Revison!
I have my Computing exam tomorrow! ARGHHHH! trying to find some test papers, but there aren't any about! only the specimin papers but when ever are the REAL questions that easy! I worked hard on my project, did it for my school, and i also had to learn most of the stuff i wrote down, my teacher wasnt very good with helping! Although i have 2 teachers for computing, the other one is great. She's so good @ computing and helping u understand! Anyways, suggestions 4 and links, or papers i can find on the net would be helpful, i'll visit this site later on, if only i found u guys earlier on!
Heathcote book is crap. I feel it is too simple and misses many of matters out, dont use the book, it wont help! a book called Computing by Geoffery Knott and Nick Waites is really good.
I know how you feel, about MIS - i also have been looking for more about it, but no luck! The exam is tommrow, and I wish all the best of luck!
I think it has been designed for many courses and so it has to cover all of them. I this site is quite helpful in giving out chapters and page references. I am worried about areas where there is no reference to Heathcote such as Information Systems and Management Information Systems. Anyone know any good sites to find out about these?
I feel that the heathcote book seems a bit too detailed and covers far more that what we need to know! I wonder does anyone agrees with my opinion?
Yeah! I wish they had more revision on Computing coz the books that they give us are too detailed!
get hold of Computing for AS and A2 Students. It is written for the AS OCR course. The Computing for A level book is more detailed but not split into the OCR sections. Go to www.theteacher.info
Did anyone do the serial search question in 2506? Is was a bit odd for 6 marks. I put down something like start at the first position. Check to see if it holds the data you want. If it does then stop and say found. If it doesn't then get the next location and repeat until either you find the name you want or you get to the end of the file. Where does 6 marks come from?
