How fast can an A Level really be done?
OCR Computing AS and A Level Discussion Board: AS and A2 Computing - General Issues : How fast can an A Level really be done?
By Albo Lenny on Monday, August 01, 2005 - 08:07 pm:

Hi there,

I have been working full time in insurance for the last 3 and a half years now...but ive made the decision that i would like to study 'computer science' at university. Unfortunatley i only have (i think) 160 ucas points so i think i would need to do another A-level to get in. Im lookin at various means..i.e self study, courses, night-classes etc. they seem to last anywhere up to a year. but does anyone know if its possible to do an a level in less time.. obviously a LOT of work would be needed but im just explorin explorin all my options.

Any advices on this would be appreciated

Thanks!

I am also thinking of studying computer science at Uni, and am trying to find out how to do an A-Level computing course. It it possible to do a distance learning course anywhere? How to choose? And (as above) how long would it take?
Many thanks,
