Documentation - is "Technical" part of the seperate user booklet?
OCR Computing AS and A Level Discussion Board: 2510 - Computing Project: Documentation - is "Technical" part of the seperate user booklet?
By Failure on Sunday, April 13, 2003 - 12:16 pm:

Yeh, im looking at the mark scheme and in documentation there is two different sections entitled "technical" and "user"

The "user" section obviously means this making of a booklet but what about "technical"? is this section just part of the normal project or not? :s

So far for "technical" i have already pasted some of the design stuff about the types of data and fields and relationship diagram etc.

Does this technical stuff have to be part of this seperate booklet and including in the contents page and stuff?

I aint sure if i am clear with my problem so plz ask if any problems! :)

Please do look at other sections on this dicussuion - it talks about techincal stuff.... e.g.

http://ocrcomputing.org.uk/discussion/messages/5/86.html?1049199894

The data dictionary -just make a table in Word of 3 or 4 columns, and in the first/second row, make a heading of what table it is in your databse, and list underneath the fields in that particular table, and in the other columns, next to the field that you have listed write, what are the validation, the lengths of text, and the format of data etc of that field.

Repeat with a different heading underneath for other tables in your database etc....

Any questions, do not hesitate to ask...

Good luck.
